Evaluating Quality. ELCG is currently providing CLASS evaluation services one of Oregon's Early Learning Hubs in Marion and Polk counties, as well as for Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) in Clackamas, Marion, and Polk counties. CLASS evaluations focused on programs receiving Preschool Promise funding in the Hub and were conducted for both English- and Spanish-language programs. ELCG provides individualized feedback to assessed programs and presents options for on-going professional development.
Supporting Quality. ELCG is providing training, ongoing support and coaching as well as CLASS evaluations to classrooms administered by the Olympic ESD. In classroom assessments of teaching to fidelity combined with coaching visits in partnership with OESD support staff are helping OESD classrooms implement Creative Curriculum as intended.
NAEYC Associate Degree Accreditation. ELCG was pleased to assist Portland Community College’s Early Education and Family Studies program in maintaining its national NAEYC AAS degree accreditation. In consultation with EEFS faculty, ELCG modified the structure of the program’s Key Assessments, comprehensively revising existing assessments as well as creating two new assessments to reflect current program structure aligned with accreditation standards.
